Richard M visited ZCG earlier this year for an UPREV tune on his 2009 370z. We made great NA power with the tune but boost was beckoning so 3k miles later Richard came back for a full Stillen supercharger installation.

We added a Stillen 25-row oil cooler and GTR plugs:

The kit comes together seamlessly, before/after:

How does it perform? With a CAN tune out of the box we saw 376hp/284tq to the wheels. This wasn’t terribly impressive considering baseline NA numbers were 305hp/251tq, netting gains of 69hp/33tq:

After Rob’s custom tune we squeezed another 58hp/55tq for a total of 433hp/339tq to the wheels. The gains are significant all the way to the VQ’s sweet 7500rpm redline, even with slightly less boost!

Richard should be happier now with over 400whp 🙂

Z Car Garage has been an authorized Panasport dealer for many years and we love the way they look and perform on our vintage cars. Back in February we posted an ad for a few remaining sets of 16″ Panasports and Eric T grabbed some for his Datsun 240z. Below: Our original Facebook post showing Ms. ButterZ running the new wheels, and Eric’s Z:

Panasport has changed its casting design over the years and this latest 16×7 “FZ” model replaces the popular/long-running “FS” model. Obvious changes are the “panasport Z” engraving on the inner barrel, rounder spokes and an extremely bright polished lip. Eric’s old wheels and the new FZ:

Wheels were shod with Bridgestone RE-11 tires, our favorite sticky street tire:

We also freshened the hydraulics with new clutch master/slave cylinders and a brake bleed:
