Here is your best opportunity to join in on one of the last great track days of 2009. NorCal UFO (United Five-Ten Owners Club) has rented out Thunderhill Raceway in Willows CA for December 13th and has some space left. They are offering the rest of the spaces up to ZCarBlog readers and are waiving the late fee to all of our readers if we sign up before this up coming Wednesday (9th).
The price for the day is only $155.00!!!!! (includes lunch for the driver)
Click on the link below to view the PDF entry form which must be emailed to the UFO organizers (Dennis and Peggy Hale) ASAP. They will allow payment to be given at the event itself if you have pre-registered. I know that this is pretty last minute but we would love to see as many of you out on the track with us as possible!!
Also when you email the entry form please include what group you usually drive in (beginner, intermediate, advanced, etc) and please visit the UFO site to view the Frequently Asked Questions page to make sure that your car does qualify to participate, there will also be a tech inspection at the event to make sure that the vehicle is safe.
Frequently Asked Questions: NorCal UFO
Please call (831) 336-2444 or email peggy_hale_510@yahoo.com if you have any questions about the event, ANY questions at all!!

Thanks for all of your continued support for ZCarBlog and for the Z in general. Long Live the Trackday!
I know that its cold outside here in Northern CA, but ZONC (Z Owners of Northern California) is hard at work preparing fun drives for all of you Nissan enthusiasts. This run down to San Simeon (Hearst Castle) will once again be in held in conjunction with the NSX Club of America and is to take place on the 13th-14th of February 2010, President’s Day weekend (3 day!!).
This year will be slightly different than last year as the tours of the Hearst Castle will be separate from the ZONC event. Meaning that those who wish to tour the castle or partake in any of the other amazing events down that way will need to book an extra night on your own. I’m assuming this is so that no one is tied into something they don’t want to do; freedom to do what you want on the trip!
See the ZONC flyer below for more information and feel free to contact them on their site if you have any questions
Normally when customers come to us to upgrade their cars we start off small with an intake or an exhaust system and slowly progress to suspension and brake upgrades until we arrive at a need for forced induction. This time it was the exact opposite.
This G35 came in bone stock (albeit with a nice set of HRE’s) and the owner wanted an instant boost in power. Needless to say we were happy to oblige. We contacted Vortech Engineering and had them send us one of their REV-Up Supercharger systems with a self contained oiling system. The kit comes complete with everything from the upgraded fuel pump, supercharger, piggyback computer, the works.
The installation was performed flawlessly by Josh here at ZCG and we were on the dyno in no time. Looking at the graph you can see that this car made awesome numbers for having stock exhaust, catalytic converters, and a full stock exhaust system. Also in the interest of time and money we left the Uni-Chip with the factory program installed per the customer’s request.
There is so much more power potential with this car after a full exhaust system is fitted and a custom tune is done. This car could easily have another 50-60+ wheel horsepower in no time!!
Only time will tell if the car will be allowed to reach it’s full potential, our dyno is waiting.
On behalf of Z Car Garage and all of it’s staff I would like to welcome home our good friend and Z owner Chuck G. He has been in Afghanistan for quite some time now and we are happy to report that he has returned safely. We have been storing and working on his car while he was overseas and we can’t wait to get it back into his hands.
For those of you that are unfamiliar with his project here are the basics:
Click on the three links below to follow the previous stages of his build. The car currently makes 500whp and 500wtq through the auto tranny on only its base tune. Now that Chuck is back the tuning will be finalized and he will be free to destroy as many tires as he pleases.
Again, welcome home friend.
