A couple of Datsun enthusiasts just completed a 4500-mile tour of the Southwest in their roadsters and I really wanted to share their epic journey with you. The roadtrip starts with our fearless Datsun Roadster duo of Ted H. from Bellevue, WA and Richard K. from the Netherlands! Ted graciously hosted Richard and guided the tour in his newly acquired Sora Blue 1964 1500. Richard flew from the Netherlands to WA to pickup his newly purchased 1969 1600, drive it to the
Solvang Datsun Roadster Show and beyond!

April 22-25. Drive to Solvang with visits to Roadsters and owners along the way:

Sacramento to San Francisco. Richard’s 1600 gets shipped back home to Netherlands along with lots of roadster parts!

Days: 17, April 22 to May 8.
Distance: 4527 miles for the 1500. 3818 for the 1600.
Not checked closely but about 25 mpg.
Oil consumed/dripped. 1600, 5 quarts. 1500, NONE.
Repairs: NONE.
Tops Up: NEVER, NOT Allowed.
Temperatures. 31 to 102+.
