Joe R was referred to Z Car Garage by long-time customer and Z33 owner “T.C”. Joe’s 2013 370z came to us with just 1900 miles on the odometer ready for some bolt-ons! We installed Fast Intentions Hi-Flow cats, their TDX exhaust system and Stillen intakes:

Stillen Gen3 intakes:

Hi-flow cats from Fast Intentions:

The TDX cat-back exhaust compared to stock:

UPREV tuning yields 311hp/250tq to the wheels:
We think making the rear diffuser black is a must have for any 370z and William’s has been doing this mod for the front (pre-2013) and rear since the Z34 was released:

Gordon came to Z Car Garage for Stillen Gen3 intakes and a Fast Intentions exhaust system. ZCG is a Fast Intentions dealer so please visit the shop if you are interested in their products! Here is the Fast Intentions TDX cat-back exhaust system and Stillen intakes:

The exhaust looks great from the rear:

Stock single muffler vs the TDX dual muffler setup:

Stillen Gen3 Intakes are always a nice addition to the new HR engines:

An UPREV tune maximizes benefits from the enhanced breathing. Peak power jumps by 10hp/9tq to the wheels but the real gains are seen from 3000 to 7500rpm. Dyno shows gains from exhaust + UPREV only:

Enjoy The Ride, Gordon!

Leo P came to Z Car Garage to have AAM (R-line) intakes installed on his 2013 370z. The Z made good power with intakes and tuning but Leo reported the Z was running roughly a few days later. Here are the baseline+initial tune dyno runs:
Rob suggested running Stillen Gen3 intakes and predicted greater power gains with a tune over the AAM setup. Leo’s 370z now makes 318hp/260tq to the wheels, a significant improvement over the AAM setup indeed!

ZCarGarage and Z Owners of Northern California (ZONC) visited the amazing Canepa Design Museum and Showroom facility in Scotts Valley. We had almost 50 cars meet at the shop this morning!

The short drive to Canepa via highway 17 was fun with Z’s old and new everywhere:

S130, S30, Z31, Z32, Z33, Z34s and few Datsun Roadsters showed up too!

Everyone enjoyed visiting Canepa Design. We were treated to an extensive tour of the facility including the showrooms and and ultra-clean workshop.

I didn’t know that the Mercedes Benz 300SL was a full tube-frame car until today! Here is a fully restored chassis sans body:

This 1920’s Duesenburg was restored at Canepa. It’s extremely rare and possibly one of the most expensive cars in the world!

Canepa’s role in making Porsche 959s legal in the US also allowed them to extract more power too. Some of these cars are making more than 640hp! There were no less than six 959s at the shop:

After the tour we had lunch and enjoyed some twisty roads. Thanks to ZONC for another great day!
