David Q is a new customer and came to Z Car Garage for some bolt-ons on his 370z.  We installed a Berk cat-back exhaust:

Stillen intakes and Motordyne M370z intake manifold:

On the dyno the motor dyne intake increased mid to upper rev range torque:

With the Berk exhaust and UPREV tuning even more low and high rpm hp/tq gains were seen:

Final results of 308hp/263tq to the wheels are improvements of +6hp/18tq. More importantly than peak gains, check out the significant gains in hp/tq from 3krpm all the way to redline where the Z makes almost +25hp/tq!

James Z (seriously, “Z”!) is a new customer and came to Z Car Garage while searching for a shop to install all of his bolt-ons purchased through the web. We installed an ARK exhaust and Stillen intakes on his 2013 Z34:

To make the most from intake/exhaust additions Rob UPREV tuned the Z with gains of +15hp/8tq resulting in 315hp/258tq to the wheels. Note the flatter torque curve in addition to increased hp all the way to redline:

We also installed a personal touch to the interior with these lighted “Z” kick panels:

More power and an enjoyable sound…thanks for coming to ZCG James!

Tetsuya is a long time customer and visited ZCG years ago for an UPREV tune and Bassani exhaust system on his pretty 2005 350z. He recently came back for some suspension upgrades and we happily obliged. We installed TEIN StreetFlex coilovers combined with their latest EDFCactive dampening controller:

The StreetFlex dampeners are trick parts with pillowball mounts and 16-way adjustability. The
“active” EDFC offers two new features in addition to the totally redesigned interface. With the on-board accelerometer, dampening can be automatically adjusted based on g-loads and a GPS unit enables speed-sensitive adjustment!

The EDFC unit was mounted neatly in the Z’s NAV/cubby:

To handle braking duties we installed a Stoptech Big Brake Kit (332mm) finished in red up front and color matched the stock rear calipers on new Stoptech rotors. Everything is framed nicely behind the new Volk 57xtreme 19″ wheels:

Tetsuya’s Z is now a well-rounded sports car that will surely bring more smiles on spirited drives!

When the “mod bug” gets to you it’s a hard habit to break! Rich B visited us earlier this year for suspension and breathing upgrades and came back for an ART pipe install and re-tune.

Quicker Nismo: Kevin’s 370z

We love when new customers visit the shop after seeing us out on the track. We met Kevin L and his Nismo 370z at one of Patrick C’s City Tech track days. Kevin wanted a few upgrades to improve acceleration and traction so we installed a shorter R&P and OS Giken limited-slip unit.

The OS Giken 1.5 clutch-type LSD is a more robust, reliable unit than the oem VLSD especially for track duty.

The Nissan OEM 4.08:1 gearset really wakes up the Z’s acceleration off the line…one of the most effective mods you can do. The NISMO finned diff cover helps keep things cooler:

Kevin also had his Z tuned at another shop and visited ZCG to get a retune. We picked up +13hp/10tq for a total of 309hp/266tq to the wheels:
