Performance Parts for Nissan, Inifiniti and Datsun Cars

A few weeks ago you may remember that we stripped the interior out of Kurtzee, the blue RB project, and mid last week it returned.  OUR FABRICATION PEOPLE ROCK!!  The chassis has be stiffened in all the right places to handle the power of the new RB25DET.  All parts of the new cage structure have been tucked away and as tightly to the factory bodywork as possible so that it will not interfere with the driver in anyway, these cars need to have the functionality of a daily driver to be a success in our eyes.

The next step for this project is a trip off to the paint shop to have the cage covered and for the engine bay to be smoothed over and finished.  This should be completed in the next few weeks and then the car will begin final assembly at the shop.  Ill have some more photos when it’s at paint.

I hope you all had a great fourth of July weekend, MotoGP at Laguna Seca was amazing.  Thanks to all who came.  ZCG

The RB Builds Continue: Kurtzee!

With the Behemoth back in our hands, the time has come to focus on getting the Kurtzee RB build up to speed.  The freshly powder-coated coilovers have now been fitted to the car to make it a roller once again so that we can carry on with the chassis stiffening.  We were really excited to see this car back on the ground after sitting by the wayside for some time, now is the big push!!

The chassis will be modified along the same lines as the Behemoth build so that the nearly forty year old body doesn’t destroy itself the first time we step on the “fun” pedal.  It will also allow us to remove the bolt-in roll bar that was previously installed.  The new setup will help provide a more solid feel in the entire car on the street and on the track, oh man these cars are going to be a handful!!

To prep the car for the cage/stiffening we needed to remove every part of the interior.  This isn’t a difficult task but it can be time consuming because you really need to make sure everything is handled properly to prevent damage and labeled accurately to ensure that the re-installation goes smoothly.

I should have some photos in a week or so when it gets out of the fabrication phase.  The car will then be stripped down even further and sent off to William’s Auto Body to have the engine bay cleaned up and resprayed to perfection.  As with all the RB builds that we do, all the holes and parts that are no longer used with the new engine will be removed or smoothed to provide the cleanest engine bay possible.

As you read a week ago HERE, we recently received all the parts for the ZCG Big Brake Kit that has been a few years in the dreaming/engineering phase and I am happy to report that all of the custom CnC’d brackets have been given a beautiful black anodized finish.  We can’t thank Ken over at Roost Billet Products enough for donating so much of his time and hard work for this project, the quality is amazing and rest assured it doesn’t get any better than this for a 240z.

There are a few more photos after the ‘read more.’

ZCG 240z Big Brake Kits are HERE!!

That’s right friends!  The long awaited ZCG 240z Big Brake Kits have started rolling in from our manufacturer.  This kit has been over a year in the making and it is amazing to see them finally come into the shop as a finished product, we are extremely proud.

From the pictures below you can see that the black caliper kits were the first to arrive, we are expecting the rest of the black and red kits to be in house within the next couple of weeks.  What this means though is that we can finally get a couple of the RB project cars off of the dolleys and onto the ground with some sort of real suspension beneath them, exciting right?!?

The nice thing about the kits themselves, besides being the best brakes ever offered for a 240z, is that everything needed to for the complete kit comes in two boxes!  Even we don’t have to go searching for special parts, we designed it to be a one shot deal.

As soon as the kit start making their way onto customer’s cars I will have more photos as well as the reactions of the new owners, so stay tuned for that.  In the meantime if you need to catch up on the past brake kit posts just click HERE.
