“If it’s not the Z car, let it be the P car!”  It’s no secret that Z Car Garage is a big fan of Porsche and we are excited to attend Rennsport Reunion 7, taking place September 28th-October 1st, 2023 at Laguna Seca.

2023 marks the 75th anniversary of Porsche and we can’t wait to join the world’s largest gathering of Porsche fans as they celebrate their love for cars, music, culture and community in Monterey, California. Z Car Garage will be providing race support for our client Kelvin Tse’s IMSA Porsche 911, racing in Group 3: The Eifel Trophy.

Race car driver, restorer and Datsun Historian Glenn Chiou displayed his FAR Performance 240Z. This Z has a very rich racing history, driven in the 70’s by Loren St. Lawrence in VIPS Restaurant livery.

WE LOVE RACING!  Classic Sports Racing Group (CSRG) is hosting the 20th Charity Challenge at Sonoma Raceway, this weekend September 8-10. Z Car Garage is participating and supporting several client’s Datsun 510 race cars running in B-Sedan Group (John Morton Cup). This vintage racing event is totally FREE to spectators so please join us! Bring the family, enjoy cool cars and charity rides around the track.

Z Car Garage is happy to announce our 2023 Nissan Z will be on Pace Car duty at the Charity Challenge. Again, admission is FREE for this event and you will have access to all spectator areas on track, race cars and drivers. Parking is in Lot 2 overlooking the paddock. Race car driver, restorer and Datsun Historian Glenn Chiou has just listed his IMSA GTU 260z race car on Bring a Trailer. The Z features our ZCG CV Axles and dyno tuning. This is a rare opportunity to own a fully-restored, competitive vintage race car, so spread the word and bid with confidence!

SHOP UPDATE 8.2.23

The shop is busy dyno tuning Z, G, R35 sports cars. Kurt’s Kenmeri Skyline is in for sorting. Kevin’s Nismo 350Z got full KW V3 coil-overs and Recaro seats. The ITS 240Z race car will be up for sale soon with log books. Jim’s Series 1 is getting Jenvey EFI and new dash. Donny 370Z and Jeremy’s G35 are in for clutch services and maintenance. The Ratsun is getting exhaust work before heading to its new owner in Michigan. Finally, we help Dirk prepare his ’73 Datsun 240Z. Full reports coming to zcarblog.com, enjoy the photos!
